Description
This course qualifies for CAMFT CEUs.
Shame can be a debilitating force for many. Often times in the helping profession, providers experience compassion fatigue and frustration in supporting those who have intense shame due to many reasons, including providers feeling hopelessness, providers and clients “getting stuck in the healing process,” and the possibility of a client’s shame touching our own experience of inadequacy which ignites further shame. In this training, participants will gain a better understanding of shame and its impact on individuals. Also, participants will explore ways to address shame while building resilience and hope through a compassionate approach to service delivery.
