In this engaging, practical session, participants will explore the seven Inner Critic types from the Internal Family Systems model and take a short quiz to identify their top two. Through reflection and discussion, you’ll learn how to transform self-criticism into constructive self-coaching and build greater confidence, clarity, and compassion at work.

Instructor: Mitch Austin
Mitch Austin is an insightful leader and skilled facilitator with over two decades of experience in supervision, strategic planning, workforce development, and public service leadership. Throughout his career, he has directly supervised and managed more than 100 staff, giving him a deep understanding of the real-world challenges supervisors face.
His extensive background—including six years as Human Resources Director for a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP)—is complemented by his expertise and training in effective communication, DEIB (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging), and leading a multi-generational workforce. Mitch is widely recognized for his ability to equip supervisors with the tools they need to coach, inspire, and grow high-performing teams.

Objectives
- Identify the seven common Inner Critic types from Internal Family Systems (IFS).
- Recognize how these critic voices manifest in workplace behavior, communication, and leadership.
- Develop compassionate awareness practices to separate the Self from the Critic.
- Apply three techniques to reframe inner criticism into constructive self-coaching.
- Create a personal “Inner Ally Plan” for self-support during stressful or evaluative moments.
