Still building this training, but here arre my first initial thoughts - This training will be provide ideas and concepts brought forward from the book De-Colonizing Therapy by Jennifer Mullan. The training will focus on supporting participants to question the western ways in which service delivery has been built on in the mental health system. We will think of additional ways to engage in conceptualization of services, including engagement strategies, assessment, and treatment.

I have a BSW in social work and work with rural and Indigenous communities. I work as a mobile crisis worker for the county. My college curriculum is taught from Indigenous perspectives of decolonizing social work. I learned so much from this 2 hour presentation about colonization, and the loss of home. The presentation talks about how to reframe and move towards "re-Indigenizing and Pro-Black ways of supporting communities" (Lopez-Urbani). I highly recommend this training series.
